What Data does SepCon Tactical store about you?

The SepCon Tactical Website does not use a user login interface. The shopping cart process upon checkout allows you to voluntarily allow the storing of information on your computer. There is a checkbox that allows you to be “remembered”. This is done so that your address and other information can be remembered on your computer via “cookies” for the ease of use of the site. (I.e. preventing the user from having to re-enter the address, and related information for the transaction. (Please view cookies section below for more information)

Our Email Policy

Currently SepCon tactical does not store your email information for any mailing list or other internal advertisement. The information sent in the contact form on our site is sent directly to a sales person and is not read by any third party. We do not sell or lend your information to anyone. It is strictly for the purpose of helping you with any problems you may have about your product or the Website itself. Once a response is sent to your email, the email you have sent to us will be destroyed in no more than seven days. (For email security terms refer to Security (below) Section A.)

Personal Information

This data may include, but is not limited to, your name, professional data, telephone number, and email address. We will not collect any personally identifiable information about you unless you provide it to us voluntarily. You may chose to not divulge any personal information about yourself, although this will result in the checkout process being unable to complete.

Changes to Privacy Policy

Because of changes in the way that our site works, and changes to Internet technology, this privacy policy may change at any time. If you have questions of concerns about the way this site operates please check this policy frequently.

Cookies

"Cookies" are small text files that gather information about the user in order to fully use the different functions of the site. We may use 'persistent cookies' when any user clicks on the "save my information" check box on the shopping cart page. The use of cookies is not required for the use of our site. You may use the site while using your web browser in a way that disables cookies. “Session cookies” may be used in order to use the functionality of the Website shopping cart. While using this site certain information such as the items you have added to the shopping cart are “written” to a cookie stored locally on your machine. This is done so that you can build a total list of items and add or remove them as you see fit. You may have problems in the checkout process if your Internet browser does not accept cookies; in witch case you can complete your order by phone. If you do not approve of the manner in witch the Website handles your information do not use the Website.

This Site is not intended for use by persons under the age of 18. If you are under 18, do not use this Website. If you are a parent and believe your minor child has accessed this site and provided their personally identifiable information, please contact us using the “contact us” page or by calling 480-766-8440. Any orders processed on this site are believed to be valid from Adults, 18 years of age or older. If your minor child has obtained your financial information and has placed an order, the rules established by your financial institution will be honored. This Site may contain links to other Websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by other Websites. Users are encouraged to review the privacy policy of any Website linked from the Site.

Security

A)- Contact
This site has been built using standard practical security techniques. Items found on the Website such as the contact form in the “contact us” section, use an advanced method of information transmission. The form used is and xml form that has form validations encoded into every section to prevent “XSS” or “cross site scripting”. This is to prevent the malicious intrusion of outside entities. This transfer of information on PHP server technologies is typically secure. Although every effort has been made to protect the information on our page no site is 100% secure.

B)- Use
Some of you information has to be stored on the SepCon Tactical Office computers. This is the standard “in office” information such as your order, address, and typical information required to process your order. All of our computers are Apple products as they are not as susceptible to virus intrusions. All standard security precautions are taken into consideration. However, the information being transmitted to SepCon tactical and to our financial processing / credit card processing merchant, may be vulnerable as any information on the Internet can be. Once the information has been received by our credit card processing merchant, their terms of service and privacy policy applies to the information that is in their possession. We do not offer any assurance or guarantee of security on information that is in transmission via the Internet, or any outside server.
